Flying Ring

I'm not yet getting married, okay? I'm just net surfing W@W and saw this beautiful picture. This picture was taken by Dino Lara. So how exactly was this shot orchestrated? Read Dino's comment here as he revealed how this 'gravity-defying' image was achieved.

Adopt-a-Pet

While doing my usual bloghopping, I saw this site from Angela and got curious.

MeFindHome is a blog about homeless animals, adoption and animal welfare in the Philippines. This blog is being run by Sherwin, a volunteer for the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

"If you're thinking of getting an animal companion and are considering buying one from the malls, I urge you to get one from PARC instead. That way you'll be able to help out in a worthwhile cause while at the same time save a lot of your hard-earned money. These animals deserve a better chance at life!"--- Sherwin

Getting my Hoodia...

I know I'm still not that well (still have slight fever) but I need to go to my bestfriend's house later for me to give my Christmas gift to my inaanak and second, to get my package my bestfriend sent me. I've been waiting for the package to arrive since she told me that she bought me Hoodia Gordonii.

Hoodia Gordonii is all-natural and has no known side effects and no ephedrine. Possibly the safest, most effective and powerful appetite suppressant in history (daw). It literally takes your appetite away. It says that the ingredients in Hoodia Gordonii will help you to regain your slim body easier and faster. You could lost weight daw without any of the perceivable side-effects which commonly plague other stimulant based drugs.

Hmm, I gotta try this immediately. I really need this one specially super dami ng food this holiday season!

Unwell

I'm sick... got fever and flu. I just went to my doctor awhileago and advised me to rest for at least 2 days due to URTI (Acute Respiratory Tract Infection). That means no work for 2 days. I don't know if I have to rejoice or not. One, I won't be reporting for work and that means I can sleep at night. Two, the fact that I am sick, I can't even go out because my body is aching. Three, it'll be New Year in a few days and I don't want to be feeling like this on our Media Noche.

Dear Lord, please make my fever go...

Snow World

, travelI know this post is kinda late but anyways, I still wanna share it...

Last December 22, my officemates & I went to Snow World at Star City. We had so much fun! There are coats provided by Star City but our friends who went before us suggested to bring our own jackets because there are alot of people na who wore the coats already. So I brought my Pink faux furry coat. Just imagine the temperature inside the Snow World, -15 degrees celcius! We were all freezing cold! Everything inside is surrounded by snow (frozen ice lang, LOL) and an Ice slide wherein you can play & slide with your friends.

We can't bear the coldness in our body so some of us decided to go out already. Upon checking out, I felt a sudden itch all over me includung my face. My gawd, I turned red and my cheeks got swollen too! I had an allergy pala due to the sudden change in temperature. Imagine, from negative15 degrees to 35 degrees... haay... Good thing after an hour or so, the redness just disappeared.

Me, as an entrepreneur

Working in a call center is a bit tiring. I always have to do this routinary set up in our office. I sometimes wants to quit from our company and put up my own small business for a young entrepreneurship.

I really want to have a company of my own someday. Like my aunt whose an entrepreneur, she manages her own time and still enjoy life being with her family and friends. She also gets to meet a lot of people and clients who in the end becomes her friends too.

I came across with Zeromillion, the top entrepreneurship resource online, wherein it teach entrepreneurs wannabe's the step by step guide to starting your own business. The have a lot of articles regarding business, E-business, Economics & Policy, Entrepreneurship, Financial Service, Personal Development and alot more. Who knows, I could be the next Bill Gates. c",)

My First Lay-outs...

I've been dying to do the traditional scrapbooking because it's like preserving the memories I had... after looking and buying some of the materials in different craftstores, finally, I had the time to make my first ever lay-outs. I know they're not as great as like the other scrappers out there... I'm just a newbie, hope I'll improve more in the future and get the hang of it...

Almost done!

Yes, I may say that I'm almost done with my shopping list. Well, I still don't know what to give to some of my godchildren because I've exhausted all possible gifts to give them last year. Maybe I'll just buy some educational CD's/VCD's for them. I saw this Dora VCD and it only cost P150. Not bad, huh? Well, I still have to check what's new again at the mall. Haaay, it's so tiring...what the heck, Christmas only comes once a year.

My Gawd!

I'm a little bit dissapointed. I have almost 7 opps waiting for me. I just ate my lunch...when I came back, it's gone na. I had one left na lang. Sooo sad...

Heart Bedding

Since I was in highschool, I easily get attracted with heart shaped objects. I don't know, maybe it is because I am a natural "lover". When I see reds and pinks, I easily associate those colors with heart that is why maybe I have a lot of things in my room which are pinks and reds and in heart shapes. Now, I'm planning to get a heart shaped design for my own bed for a Modern Bedding
VisionBedding offers a line of Heart themed bedding that is sure to delight the girl on your shopping list - no matter how old she is. Heart bedding has always had a strong appeal to girls of all ages, even up to our grandma's age. Whether it is the beauty of the simple design implicit to a heart shape, or the way a picture of a heart reminds them of their secret dreams of love from prince charming and a dreamy fairy tale future.

What's great about VisionBedding is it makes it easy to incorporate a heart design into any bedroom. Just choose one of the gorgeous designs available, and you will likely find that the bedding flaunts a style strong enough to stand on its own. One thing is certain: girls of all ages love hearts.

I went malling yesterday and came across with this H-U-G-E Santa. I asked my friend to take a picture of me with "Santa" as my background. Kids are so happy to see this Santa at SM Clark. They can't even believe their eyes that they're seeing this super biggie sized bearded man. Hmm, I wonder where they store this Santa after the holidays? c",)

Bodacious!

Thanks Lucel for this award! It brightened up my day.

Okay, I did a little research about the meaning of it. And here's what I found on Webster.
Main Entry: bo·da·cious
Pronunciation: \bō-ˈdā-shəs\
Function: adjective
Etymology: probably blend of bold and audacious
Meaning: outright, unmistakable, remarkable, noteworthy, sexy, voluptuous

I'm passing this award to Peachy, Chelle, Shabem, Alpha, Angela, Darlene, Ivy, Jackie and Jody.

Just dropping by...

It's almost 10pm already and still wide awake. Why? Because my friend Khyng dropped by our house with her husband Nicko to visit me. Well, we had a nice chat, reminiscing the old times. Tomorrow is her son's 1st birthday party so I better go to sleep now and have a beauty rest coz I haven't slept for more than 24 hours already.

So tired...

I haven't slept yet since last night... meaning I am awake for more that 24 hours already. Good thing, I don't get dark circles around my eyes.

I went shopping at Robinson's mall with my mom, tita & lola this afternoon. I'm trying to look for a nice gift for my godson for his 1st birthday this coming December 14. Guess what, we were there for like 4 hours and we haven't bought anything for my "inaanak". We went to the second level of the building where the children's section is, my gawd, it's jampacked with parents and their kids doing some clothes shopping for their cute little ones.

Maybe I'm just gonna do my gift searching on a week day. Perhaps it'll be less people in the malls. And oh, I bought three magazines for myself--- All about scrapbooking. c",)

So that means your gambling experience can begin with less troubles and more excitement!

In need of a shopping cart software?

If you're tired to shop on malls this christmas season, well, you can do your shopping always online but it would be much nicer if we have our own online store.

To start, we need a shopping cart software that is easy to use. It should be web based with no installation required, with thousands of features, fully customizable and best of all, affordable. Blog for Money

After a hard day's work and a tiring christmas shopping for my godchildren, I still have the strength to check my emails and boy, I'm so glad that my blog has been approved by Smorty.

I decided to make my own blog two months ago because I got hooked in reading my friends blogs. I may say that I'm having fun with what I'm doing right now, of course I want to get paid for blogging too. Aside from meeting new friends and online buddies, I can also blog for money anytime I want now.

Smorty is a service connecting advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers can pay bloggers to write opinion posts with links back to the advertisers site... that means you get to advertise on blogs. Technically, that's how it works. So if you want to get paid to blog, go to Smorty's.

On-line Insurance

Have you thought of getting an insurance? Well, I did. I sometimes think I want to guarantee a solid financial future for those I love and care about the most.

If you are a busy person just like me, you could get Insurance quotes online and know more some of Online Insurance Policy as well. I know no one wants to think about their own death... but that's reality. It is something that we are all going to pass at some time or another. Wouldn't you feel better knowing that you will still be able to take are of your family even after your death?

Think now and get one, who knows, you might even save money on Insurace. So, what are you waiting for? You have nothing to lose when shopping for insurance online - and you can do it all from the comfort of your home.

Question tag from Macy

Answer the question Mitch Albom throws on Oprah : "How would you spend one more day, with someone you loved and lost?"

In our family, we've lost my lolo and my uncle because of cancer, it is painful of course. But if I could spend one more day with someone I loved and lost, it would probably my "Ate Sol".

Ate Sol is my Lola's maid for 45 years... She's the ever loyal "yaya" of all my lola's 7 children (that includes my mom). She started to be my lola's maid when she was barely 17 years old. When my lola gave birth to my mom, Ate Sol became my mom's yaya until every time my lola gives birth, she becomes everyone's yaya... She never did get married because of her many "alaga".

Years had passed, a new generation had come... My mom got married and guess what, she became my yaya too. I remember when i was still little, she would sometimes fetch me from school and buys me something before heading home. And when I was in highschool, she's always there for me. Whenever my mom forget to give me "baon", she gives me money. And when I was in college, she never sleeps until I come home from parties, discos or gimicks, even if I come home at 4am, she's still wide awake waiting for me to open the door. Every grandchildren of my lola becomes her grandchildren too. She treated us as her own "apos" already specially to my cousins Carlo and Luis.

Maybe if I could spend one more day with someone we love and lost, we're just gonna stay home chatting together and having a great merienda with our family and of course with Ate Sol.

What we call LIFE...

Midnight coffees, birthday pizzas, accentuated english, dashing clothes, irrate customers... so much money, so little time. Late night parties, sunrise beers, crush on coaches, fight for appraisals, die-hard friendships, tears for love. Nothing missing, just everything. People call it CALL CENTERS... We call it LIFE. Live with it!

Common Mistakes Tag

I've been tagged by Rosemarie. Now, Im passing this to Nova, Alpha, Vina & Lorie.

Start copy paste~Instructions: To play this game, all you must do is explain what your most common writing mistake is. Then, simply tag 5 people for the meme. Those 5 will, in return, tag 5 more people. Ultimately, readers should see a tapestry of common grammar and spelling mistakes. Therefore, anyone who feels ashamed of their errors will feel a bit more confident and secure.Copy the person and persons' names that sent it to you and add your own at the bottom of the list. It really helps build community.

The answers:
Shine with Grace : Mixing the word 'from' with 'form' all the time.

Trinity : I sometimes feel confused to use past tense or present tense when I share my stories.

LadyJava : Typing too fast that sometimes I miss words in between.

Genie King : I type too fast too... always end up with 'tot he'... when it should be 'to the'.

Spiff : I type too fast that I end up with sentences that have no spaceinbetween... LOL!

Nessa : Mostly grammatical mistakes... but it doesn't really bother me as long as my readers understand :)

Choc Mint Girl: Obviously grammatical error due to lack of vocabulary…but getting better and better and better…he he he…

Liza : I type too fast too that's why sometimes my spellings are wrongf... see. Lol ;) And same with Grace, mixing the word from and form at times. (I'll be posting this tag to my other blogCecil: errors on grammar and sometimes I don’t know where to place my comma or when to use colon or semi-colon :( too.)

Nancy: I'm always trying to use every function of my fingers but can't really help but slip which resulted to pressing the wrong key most of the time.

Darlene: I always made a mistake by typing HELATH instead of HEALTH. Sometime the FOR is FOT because the R and the T are very close to each other lol! Anyway i always do mistakes when i type, everybody does i guess no matter how good you are in typing you always make some mistakes.Bisdak Footprints I usually have wrong typo when I am in a hurry typing entries during PPP time because need to be fast so I can grab as many opps as I can.For that, wrong typo making my english look worse to others. They read it before I can do some editing..they might think my english is so bad..ahhermmm...but i edit it anyways...

Twerlermz : I'm using basic or simple english most of the time so i think my most common mistakes are : redundancy, spelling and grammar (toink!)

Thira: I type too fast too, sometimes my mind is way ahead with my typing so I miss out and misspell words and I have to go back and read again and correct it. Sometimes using the past and present tense in writing, and using the hyphen properly, wehehe:)

Ester - Just like you Thira, I type too fast that I missed using the right grammar, correct spelling. I usually confused on the proper usage of "on", "in", "at"....waaaa whatever.. hahahahhah!!!!

Rosemarie- Sometimes i type too fast that i type love as lvoe, and proper usage of past tense and future tense, like Ester wrong usage of in, on, at. And i often use He when is it she and her when it is him.nah... to many mistake.

Jean: Sometimes even at work, I write words using the ones like we use in text messaging. Like "yours" to "urs" and/or "believe" to "blive" and/or "you" to "u".

The "KHYNG" has arrived!

Khyng is my/our friend since we were highschool but we became so close when we were in college. She's here and on vacation until January. Oh well, maybe I'm just gonna have fun with my friend's babies. I'm gonna see Jane and Yvette there too. I signed up for PPP

Yes, I signed up for PayPerPost! I know my blog is still not old enough because according to PPP, a blog should be at least 90 days old- so I still have to wait until January for me to know if I am approved or not. Anyways, I still signed-up with them. Well, I am patient enough to get approved. Now, I have to pray. Hah! At least I am trying my best. C",)
I always see PPP logos on my blogger friends and I got curious about it so I decided to check the site myself. Based from what I have seen, there is a lot of opportunities for bloggers out there to choose from. What is nice about this site is you get to choose what you want to blog. It is nice to know that even you are an internet addict or a computer geek, still you can earn... The best thing I have learned here is that you can earn while you do things you love...Blogging. So, if you are like me who wants to earn while blogging, sign up now with them!
I wish to become one of their top bloggers someday, who doesn't? With all the money you can earn from PPP, I am sure you will going to have a very merry christmas this year. What do you think?

To get started...

I bought some scrapbooking materials at National Bookstore. Whew! I didn't know that bookscrapping materials are kinda expensive. Well, I'm happy naman with what I bought so it's okay for me na din. I also bought a book with free scrapping materials inside. It teaches you the basic of scrapbooking: basic skills, basic tools and a lot more. What I like about scrapbooking is it is all about preserving memories for generations still to come. Of course, I want to show my "works" to my grandchildren someday. c",)

Scrapping all the way! LOL.

Expired

I went on a 1-hour undertime this morning because I want to rush off to Department of Foreign Affairs (Clark) for my passport renewal. My passport has expired last November 22... It's my fault, I overlooked it. Now, upon arriving in the area, DFA is closed! According to their security guard, they're not re-issuing passports anymore, not until January or February daw. Also, he said that I have to go to DFA Manila if I want my passport renewed and it will take up to a month before it will be released if ever (26 business days)...

November 26--- DFA's issuing the new passport already daw. Passports are gonna be Maroon...not the Dark Green one anymore. And there's this finger scanning pa daw to avoid alteration or faking of some passports. By the way, pictures on passports now are in BLUE background, no more WHITE background.

My gawd! My Tita and I are going to Bangkok this December pa naman! Bad trip!

On scrapping...

Yes, I'm still on digi and scrapbooking. Thanks to Alpha and Lorie.

Alpha gave me this website which features a lot of digiscrappers' beautiful lay-outs. I opened an account with them.

Lorie, this ScrapbookFlair is really great! I took advantage of their free CD wherein I'll be able to get alot of individual backgrounds, embellishements and templates. This CD is a must have. All you have to do is pay the shipping and handling fee of $4.00 (US) and $7.95 (International). Hope I get my free CD by next week!

Earthquake

Yesterday afternoon while watching a noontime show in my room, our 4 dogs started to bark at the same time. I felt dizzy so I just yelled at them to stop barking. I lay down flat on my bed. Looking up my room's ceiling, I noticed my mini chandelier's little crytal balls are moving left and right. That's when I realized I'm not dizzy after all, it's an earthquake. I felt scared because I was alone in the house. I just cuddled my little dog and waited for the quake to stop.

In the news, Manila was hit by the earthquake with intensity 3. The magnitude was only 5.4 and thank God, there wasn't any reports of damage or injury...

On digi & scrapbooking...

I really want to know more about these two stuff. Actually, I have a scrapbook but it's not as beautiful as the works of Diane and some of the scrappers here. Now, I'm planning to buy alot of scrapbooking materials this coming Chrismas as a gift to myself.

I have chatted with Diane the other day & we talked about digiscrap & scrapbooking. I told her how I adore Alpha, Shabem & her works. For digiscrapping, I bought an Adobe Photoshop CS 3 for a start. Shabem advised me this so that I could edit some of my personal fave pics. Hah! I don't know if the Photoshop program is hard to learn or it is just me who really doesn't know how to understand and use the program.

Hopefully, I'll be able to show my first work here and hope you will like it.

My mom...

Many have thought she's my older sister. Some says we are very much look-alike. She just smile everytime someone says that. It's a compliment on her part (she's like my older sister thing part) but not for me. Grrr.... But are we?

She's my mom. She's my bestfriend as well. I can almost tell her everything what is happening in my life. She's only 19 years old when she had me. I'm 27. Now, do the math! She looks younger than her age, that's my opinion. LOL.

I can't sleep...

It's my day off and I'm suppose to be sleeping soundly but to my dismay, I'm not. I slept probably around 10pm last night then woke up around 12mn...again woke up by 1am. I keep on tossing myself around my bed, trying to get a good sleeping position. My phone beeped. Upon checking & reading some text messages, i saw the time & it's already 2:30am! Whaaat! I didn't notice that an hour passed already. Maybe my body clock is already adjusted on my work schedule. Yeah, I've been on grave yard shift for almost 5 months already.

Around 3am, I just decided to turn on the computer and do some net surfing & bloghopping. Good thing, Lisa & Kitty has tags for me. That will keep me busy enough for me to get sleepy again. I didn't notice that the sun is rising up already. That means one thing, i wasn't able to get a good night sleep!

My mom's awake now. She's watching an early morning show in ABS-CBN, "Kumikitang Pangkabuhayan" I think, hosted by Amy Perez. She wants us to go to SM Clark 'coz she saw in the show that SM Clark is featuring these businesses, products, services & places which other countries are proud of. Now, I won't be able to go back to sleep even more... tsk...tsk...tsk...

Salty Coffee

An amazing Love Story...found this one at My Friendster's bulletin:

He met her at a party. She was so beautiful, many guys were chasing after her, while he was so plain and simple, nobody paid attention to him.

At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but to be polite, she consented. They went to a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home....suddenly he asked the waiter.

"Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee."

Everybody stared at him, How strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.

She asked him curiously; why you have salt in your coffee? He replied: "when I was a little boy, I lived near the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who still lives there". While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.

That 's his true feelings, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can share his home sickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has ties to his home.

Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that he was actually a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed knowing him! Thanks to his salty coffee!

The story ended just like every beautiful love story , the princess married the prince, then they lived happily ever after... And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in it, as she knew that's the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: "My dearest, please forgive me, I have been lying my whole life. This was the only lie I told you---the salty coffee.

Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change it, so I just went ahead. I neverthought that could be the start of our conversation! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you about anything. Now I'm dying, I'm afraid of nothing so I can tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.. But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life!

Since I met you, I don't ever feel sorry for everything I did for you. "Having you with me is the biggest thrill of my whole life. If I can live a second time around, I would still want to know you and have you for the rest of my life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again". Her tears made the letter totally wet.

One day, someone asked her: how did the salty coffee taste? It was very sweet, she replied.

Love is not to forget but to forgive, not to see but to understand, not to hear but to listen, not to let go but to hold on...

Don't ever leave the one you love for the one you like, because the one you like will leave you for the one they love.

At last...

it's Saturday once again and it's my day-off. Weehee!!!

Okay, I got out in the office at exactly 10am. Some of my reps asked me if I want to join them go to SM and eat fishballs and kikiam...of course I said yes. It's been a month since I last ate those street foods. My mom doesn't want me eating those food specially the ones talaga sa street. I might get cholera daw. It's not everyday naman when I eat those eh.

After that, we just strolled at the mall. We were trying to find a silver necklace for Pam's boyfriend (one of my agent) at Silver Best. To my surprise, even Silvers are kind of expensive na din pala! Pam was eyeing a silver dog tag and it cost P2k plus! And I saw a Tiffany & Co. heart chain look alike necklace and it cost P5k! Whew! I didn't know that they're pricing silvers as such!

Then I went to the kiosk of Star Cruises, I asked the Sales Executive for some brochures and a quotation of their traveling fee. Upon seeing just the picture of the gigantic ship, I wish I win the lottery so that I could experience the brilliance of a World-Class Megaship in Asia Pacific. I wish to cruise someday, who knows I'll have excess money on my Christmas bonus. Asa pa! c",)
