I have my OWN!
Yep, thanks to Nova. I got my own domain already just awhile back. It's still very raw, I still have to finish updating everything there. If you visit this now, it will redirect you to my domain. I have to wait for 3 days for it to be official on the web. Anyways, I'm so happy that I got my OWN already. Wish to see you all there. I'm gonna be busy for days now (due to my new blog). I need to bloghop and let everyone know about it. Yipee.
Hope to see you at www.iamjean.com

My Own One
For the past few weeks, I'm still contemplating whether or not to get my own domain. I'm not that sure if I can always blog for life. Like this My So-called Life, this is my first ever blog where I can feature everything about me, It's my other blog that I sometimes neglect to update.
One thing that's holding me back is that I don't know much about computers (rss, html codes, feeds, etc...).That's why nowadays, I keep on bugging Eds and Nova to help me out in finding a user-friendly domain/website for me. Kung hindi, maloloka ako. LoL. Maybe when I find one which is suitable for me, I'd give up one of my blogs and just maintain two. Three blogs is too much for me to handle (that is if I'll get my own domain).
Any help from you guys?

My mom's own version
Due to my high cholesterol level, my mom always cooks healthy food for me now. Last night we had grilled barbecue pork chop with buttered vegetables (corn, carrots, broccoli, sayote). She called her menu last night as Grilled pork chop ala Beth. Lol.

Craving for Buko ni Fruitas
I know it's been raining for the past days but that doesn't stop me from eating my favorite dessert. Buko ni Fruitas! It's like the traditional halo-halo its just that the sahog are fresh fruits.
But before that, I ordered a sizzling pork chop at Sizzlers for my lunch.

My results...
Not good. My SGPT and SGOT is still high as well as my cholesterol. My ultrasound result is not good either. My liver is larger by 2cm than the normal size. Now, I'm under medication. My doctor, Dr. Aristides Panlilio, gave me something to take for my liver. He's suppose to give me for my cholesterol to make it lower but it he said it will surely interfere on my liver medications. That's whe he told me to limit my fatty food intake na lang.
My next check up will still be on June. Hope to get a positive result next time.

12 hours of fasting
Yep... I did that last night because I had my blood chemistry taken just this morning and had an ultrasound for my upper abdomen. Why? It's because of my liver. I had my blood chemistry taken last month and the result for my SGOT/AST (Serum Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase/Aspartate aminotransferase) and SGPT/ALT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase/Alanine aminotransferase) are not good. --->Very bad. :-(
To give you an idea, the reference range for SGOT and SGPT is 0.00-32.00 U/L... Guess what I've got? 272.24 for SGOT and 348.23 for SGPT. Kinda high---rather, very high!
SGOT and SGPT is an enzyme that is normally present in liver and heart cells. SGPT/SGOT is released into blood when the liver or heart are damaged. The blood SGPT/SGOT levels are thus elevated with liver damage (for example, from viral hepatitis) or with an insult to the heart. Some medications can also raise SGPT/SGOT levels. Also called alanine aminotransferase (ALT).
I have to go back tomorrow for my result at the hospital hoping for a good result. Otherwise, I'm going to go under medication. Huhuhu.

Big Virus Coming
Please read: Big Virus coming
I checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this virus. I checked Snopes (URL above), and it is for real!!
You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD,' regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.
If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately.
This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

They've called already!
...but I missed it. Boohoo. I got 3 missed calls from the company I'm telling you here. I left my phone inside my locker and when I checked it during my lunch break, I saw that I got some missed calls. I saw that the first call was made 10:32am, the second call was made 10:40am and the last one was made 10:57am. Guess what time I went down our building to have my lunch break? 11:05am! My gawd, is this a sign that I'm really not for that company? Huhuhu.

Have you heard of Gary Lising's shop at Galleria? What's that shop again? What is it all about? My friends say that if I wanna buy something for a friend whose having a despedida de soltera, I would definitely find a gift for her on that store. Is that true?

Dial-o
My mom and I went at Crocs to check if I already have my size for the Crocs Malindi (cotton candy pink) I am eying for. Haaay, no color and no size available for me! The ones left are the yellow and orange. Huhuhu. Then I saw the Crocs Sueded Alice-no size pa rin. Even my mom tried on the Crocs Sassari, no size din for her. Poor us. The salesman told us that he'll gonna call us na lang the next time the new shipment is there already, so we said okay. Then I saw these little bag-like cute thing on top of their counter. The salesman said they're Dial- o, Crocs cellphone holders. I find them so cute that I can't almost choose what color to buy. I ended up buying the Turquoise/Fuchsia. Perfect for my phone's color. ;-)

I didn't shop for my self but I bought something for my pet Puffy. Well, he had his hair groomed (again) and he easily gets cold so I decided to buy him some new shirts. I bought him a striped polo shirt and a red jersey.

Believe it or not...
My mom and I went to Ace Hardware just to look for some light bulbs. While being there, we went to every aisle of the huge store and found this energy saving device kit called Extreme Power Saver. According to the sales agent, it can save 20%-30% on every home's electric bill. Because of the "savings", my mom got interested and started to ask a lot of questions to the sales agent regarding the said product. We soon found out that it's an electrical device that helps reduce electrical consumption of inductive or motorized home equipment of appliances such as air conditioners, electric fans, water pumps, washing machines, etc. The agent also explained to us that the device recycles the partial electrical waste generated by the said inductive equipment. Amazing, huh? In the end, my mom purchased one unit for our house. Well, we gotta try and use it now because we need to know in a months time if our electric bill goes down.

Should I?
I'm working in one of the call centers in Clark for almost 7 years. Loyal? I don't think so. I've been with the company because my friends are there. The work is A-ok. The salary's not bad.
Since I graduated from college, I applied in our company without knowing what's in it for me. I really don't know what kind of job I'm entering to. I just went out with my college friends telling me that we're going to apply in this company where the compensation is great. So I said, Okay.
Way back 2001, whenever someone asks me where I work, I always say our company's name. And when I'm asked what nature of work do I have? I say call center. That's where I always see their puzzled face. Asking me again "ano ulit ang work mo?", that's the time I say "telephone operator po"... Funny but true. That time, people doesn't understand & know what a call center is not until around 2003.
And now, there's this newest call center in Clark. Some of my friends applied and got transfered there already. Compensation and benefits are great as well as the salary. Very, very enticing. As for me, I'm thinking whether to try my luck there or not. But there's this thing inside me that makes me sad leaving my current company. Maybe because I've been with them for a long time and it became my comfort zone already. Maybe it's time for me to spread my wings and leave my so-called second home.
As what they say:
Midnight coffees. Birthday pizzas. Accentuated english. Dashing clothes. Irate customers. So much money, so little time. Late night parties. Sunrise beers. Crush on coaches. Fight for appraisals. Die hard friendships. Tears for love. Nothing missing, just everything. People call it CALL CENTERs. We call it "LIFE".

A Glass of Milk
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! .
She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you?" You don't owe me anything," she replied.
"Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness." He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart." As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.
Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case. After a long struggle, the battle was won.
Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge, and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words ...
"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed:
"Thank You, God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands.
" There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the water comes back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or someone you love at the least expected time.
If you never see the deed again at least you will have made the world a better place - And, after all, isn't that what life is all about?Posted by Jean Marie at 3:49:00 AM 4 comments

'Idol' boots another finalist, leaving 5 to vie for title
By DERRIK J. LANG, AP Entertainment Writer Wed Apr 23, 9:48 PM PDT
Carly Smithson lost another chance to be a superstar.
Smithson, the 24-year-old Irish bartender from San Diego, was the latest cast-off on "American Idol" as the field was narrowed to five finalists during Wednesday's results show.
Smithson had won rave reviews from judges -- but apparently not votes from viewers -- after performing "Superstar" from "Jesus Christ Superstar" on Tuesday's Andrew Lloyd Webber-themed performance show.
Controversy had swirled around Smithson at the start of the seventh "Idol" season because of her previous experience in the music industry. In 2001, MCA Records released Smithson's debut "Ultimate High," which flopped on the charts.
Syesha Mercado, who sang "One Rock 'n' Roll Too Many" from "Starlight Express," joined Smith in the bottom two on Wednesday's results show.
Brooke White was visibly shocked she wasn't one of the show's lowest vote-getters.
White caused a stir Tuesday when she stopped singing a few seconds into "You Must Love Me" from "Evita" and asked "Idol" music director Ricky Minor to start over, a first for the Fox singing competition. Jackson and Simon Cowell praised White's decision to reboot, but Paula Abdul was upset about the do-over.
"You must never start and stop," Abdul told White.

Men who are Hot
Tagged by Arlene.
The question is : Who are the men you want to sleep with if you were single?
My gawd, Arlene, you made me think hard on this one. Hehehe. Anyways, these are the men that came up on my mind first.
First is Piolo Pascual. Who could resist this very charming man? One time he had a mall tour at SM Clark and I can't believe what I did! He passed in front of me and my friend and I just blurted out "I love you , Piolo!". Hahaha. Remember the Sprite commercial where a girl shouted "I love you, Piolo!"? That's exactly what happened! Hehehe.
Second is Marc Nelson. Need I say more on this one? Just look at him. He's like He-Man!
Third is David Cook. Not because I'm watching American Idol right now, I love him when he's singing.

One Team, One Summer
A friend of mine bid farewell to our company after 7 years of working in a call center. What we did is planned a little summer getaway. We're supposed to go to Puerto Galera however, one of our friends is 8 months pregnant so the farthest we could go with her is Subic. We can't leave her behind 'coz she's the clown of the group.
We stayed overnight at All-Hands beach resort inside the freeport. Their villas are not that good and the service is poor. Sooobrang bagal. What's nice is that the villas are just beach front. Yun lang. I got myself a henna tattoo (Chinese character meaning Goodluck) and Vina, my other friend, got herself a butterfly henna tattoo.
