Daniel Day-Lewis won his second Oscar on Sunday for his role as a vicious early 20th century oil entrepreneur in the drama "There Will Be Blood."
Day-Lewis, 50, has swept this year's awards season with a performance that dominates the screen as an ambitious oil explorer with a sadistic streak.
It was the second Oscar best actor win for the London-born actor following his Academy Award for playing a man with cerebral palsy who learns to write and paint with his foot in the 1989 movie "My Left Foot: The Story of Christy Brown."
He was nominated for an Oscar two other times for "In the Name of the Father" and "Gangs of New York."
Tall, dark and thoughtful, Day-Lewis is known for his intense preparation for his roles. He took four years working on his character with "There Will Be Blood" director Paul Thomas Anderson and has said he could spend 10 years making a movie if a part really interested him.
Day-Lewis has dual Irish and British citizenship. He has three sons, one with French actress Isabelle Adjani and two boys with Rebecca Miller, the daughter of the late U.S. playwright Arthur Miller.

Marion Cotillard wins Oscar for best actress
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Marion Cotillard won the Academy Award as best actress for her portrayal of legendary chanteuse Edith Piaf in "La Vie en Rose" to become the first French performer since 1960 to earn an Oscar in the category.
It was the first nomination for Cotillard, who was a favorite coming into Sunday's award show in Hollywood.
The 32-year-old actress stunned audiences and critics at home and abroad with her physical transformation in the film that traces the life of Piaf, who achieved international fame after being raised by her grandmother in a brothel but saw her life cut short by drug and alcohol abuse.
The win comes just days after Paris-born Cotillard took home the French film industry's coveted Cesar award for best actress for "La Mome," as the Piaf biopic is called in her homeland. She also picked up both a British BAFTA and a Golden Globe for her role.
Simone Signoret won the best actress Oscar in 1960 for her leading role in "Room at the Top" and was the last French woman to do so, although several others, including Catherine Deneuve and Isabelle Adjani, have been nominated.
In the best actress category, Cotillard competed with Julie Christie ("Away From Her"), newcomer Ellen Page ("Juno"), Laura Linney ("The Savages") and Cate Blanchett ("Elizabeth: The Golden Age").

Angelina Jolie shows off baby bump
LOS ANGELES - If the bump on her belly is any indication, Angelina Jolie really is pregnant.
The actress created a stir at Saturday night's Spirit Awards when she showed up with partner Brad Pitt on her arm and a noticeably pregnant bulge.
Jolie ignored reporters' questions on the awards show carpet, but People magazine reported on its Web site that a source close to the couple confirmed that she and Pitt are "thrilled to be adding to their brood."
Pitt's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, declined comment to The Associated Press.
Jolie and Pitt are parents of a 1-year-old daughter, Shiloh, and three children adopted from Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam. Their adopted children are Maddox, 6; Pax, 4; and Zahara, 3.
Jolie's appearance helped give a theme to Saturday's Spirit Awards, where the big winner was the teen pregnancy comedy "Juno," taking awards for best independent film, best actress for Ellen Page and best first screenplay for Diablo Cody.

I'm sick again
Yeah, this is my second time to be sick this year. This time it's viral rhinitis. Oh, I tell you, my nose is all red because of the sneezing and blowing. Along with that is a swollen tonsils with dry cough and fever of 38.5 degrees celcius.
It's been my 3rd day of having this sickness and that means I'm just at home not reporting from work and just watching TV almost the whole day. B-O-R-I-N-G.
Hope I get well soon. Huhuhuhu.

Permed Eyelashes
One of my agent's husband is coming home by next week (I don't exactly know what country he's coming from)... What else would a young wife want to be when her husband comes home? Be pretty of course! She had her hair rebonded and now, with the growing numbers of people who are getting eyelash extension, we got curious about this nice trend and wants to try it out. So, as soon as we are logged out from work, we hit the streets of Angeles City and looked for some salons who offers eyelash extension. The thing is, we thought twice of doing it to ourselves because we might ended up looking like a Bading! So we just decided to get our eyelashes permed instead. Not a bad idea, for 2-3 months, our eye lashes are curled up. No need for an eye curler for the mean time.
Here's what we look like during the process of perming...
We looked like dead people. Hahaha.

My Lola's Angel
I can't exactly recall when and how did my Lola started to like Angel Locsin. As far as I remember, it was during the "Mulawin" days when she got loco over this sweet showbiz darling. I tell you, she can almost talk about Angel all through out the day. Just don't say something negative about her star idol because she can debate for life for her. Imagine, she can stay-up in her room the whole day watching her Mulawin DVD's or whatever Angel movies she got there. She is that dedicated to her Super Star. From showbiz magazines, teleseryes such as Lobo, and even the Angel Locsin perfume from Avon (I gave the perfume as a gift to her last Christmas, kunsintidor din ako. heheheh).

Tummy tuck for Moi
Whenever I see and hear celebrity stars thanking their sponsors, I sometimes wonder whether they are being paid to do that or they just get their sponsor's free service for advertising them just by thanking where they get their clothes, make-up and specially their skin care. When they gain weight, Dr. Blah-blah is there. When they want to improve their "future", they thank Dr. Blah-blah.
Since I started gaining weight, I sometimes feel a little sad whenever I see nice clothes which don't fit me or sometimes doesn't look that good on me. If only I have money for liposuction, I would definitely consider doing that. Who wouldn't want a 36-24-34 body figure? In my dreams maybe I will be in that shape. Because I should be having breast augmentation to get a bigger boobies. c",)
Two years ago, I enrolled myself in a gym and I have been religiously doing it almost everyday during that time. End result? I got my ideal weight. 130 lbs., size 30 waist line and a saggy belly. My trainer said that's because I lost alot of fats & weight and I need to make it firm by doing some extra exercises. Talk about lose skin.
At Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery, they specialize in tummy tucks also known as abdominoplasty. Their unique approach to this plastic surgery procedure, including the Rodeo Drive Belly Button™ and the Rodeo Drive Mommy Makeover™, has been highlighted in many national and international media outlets. Wow, I wish I could go to their clinic now and get consulted by their doctors.
After pregnancy, weight loss or just plain aging, many people find themselves with excess skin and fat around the belly and decreased strength and tone of the muscles beneath. Abdominoplasty or “tummy tuck” addresses these problems for both women and men. The result is improved body contour and a smoother shape to the abdomen. During the surgery an incision is made within the “bikini” or “boxer” line under the abdomen; this helps to hide the scar under clothes following the procedure. Excess skin and fat are removed, the muscle beneath is tightened, the skin is redraped to provide a pleasing body shape, and often the belly button is moved to a new position within the newly contoured abdomen. In some cases, a “mini-abdominoplasty” can be performed, which affords many of the same results with shorter scars. In other cases, abdominoplasty is combined with liposuction for further fat removal and body contouring. Your plastic surgeon at Rodeo Drive Plastic Surgery will work with you to develop an operative plan that addresses your specific needs.
Their founding plastic surgeon, Dr. Lloyd Krieger, believes that many plastic surgery practices fail to treat patients as informed customers who have options in their choice of plastic surgeons and facilities. People often are subjected to "institutional" treatment. Rodeo Drive Tummy Tuck delivers cutting edge techniques, yet always puts your needs and desires first. This is especially important with tummy tuck and abdominoplasty procedures.
Wish I win the lottery....If I will, I'll get my body contoured in no time. c",)

Love
Since it's the month of February and Heart's day is fast approaching, I want to share this article I found on the web.
What is Love?
Romantic love both exhilarates and motivates us. It is also critical to the continuation of our species. Without the attachment of romantic love, we would live in an entirely different society that more closely resembled some (but not all) of those social circles in the animal world. The chemicals that race around in our brain when we're in love serve several purposes, and the primary goal is the continuation of our species. Those chemicals are what make us want to form families and have children. Once we have children, those chemicals change to encourage us to stay together to raise those children. So in a sense, love really is a chemical addiction that occurs to keep us reproducing.
Regardless of the country or culture, romantic love plays an important part. While cultural differences in how that love is displayed vary greatly, the fact that romantic love exists is undisputed.
But let's get down to the nitty gritty. What is it that makes us fall in love with someone in the first place?
What Makes us Fall in Love?We all have a template for the ideal partner buried somewhere in our subconscious. It is this love map that decides which person in that crowded room catches our eye. But how is this template formed?
Appearance
Many researchers have speculated that we tend to go for members of the opposite sex who remind us of our parents. Some have even found that we tend to be attracted to those who remind us of ourselves. In fact, cognitive psychologist David Perrett, at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, did an experiment in which he morphed a digitized photo of the subject's own face into a face of the opposite sex. Then, he had the subject select from a series of photos which one he or she found most attractive. According to Dr. Perrett, his subjects always preferred the morphed version of their own face (and they didn't recognize it as their own).
Personality
Like appearance, we tend to form preferences for those who remind us of our parents (or others close to us through childhood) because of their personality, sense of humor, likes and dislikes, etc.
Pheromones
The debated topic of human pheromones still carries some weight in the field of love research. The word "pheromone" comes from the Greek words pherein and hormone, meaning "excitement carrier".
In the animal world, pheromones are individual scent "prints" found in urine or sweat that dictate sexual behavior and attract the opposite sex. They help animals identify each other and choose a mate with an immune system different enough from their own to ensure healthy offspring. They have a special organ in their noses called the vomeronasal organ (VNO) that detects this odorless chemical.
The existence of human pheromones was discovered in 1986 by scientists at the Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia and its counterpart in France. They found these chemicals in human sweat. A human VNO has also been found in some, but not all, people. Even if the VNO isn't present in all of us -- and may not be working in those who do have it -- there is still evidence that smell is an important aspect of love (note the booming perfume industry). An experiment was conducted where a group of females smelled the unwashed tee shirts of a group of sweaty males, and each had to select the one to whom she was most "attracted." Just like in the animal world, the majority of the females chose a shirt from the male whose immune system was the most different from their own.
Believe it or Not... Love as explained in Science.

My Laziness in Me
Oh no, my laziness in me strikes back again! I'm suppose to take my dogs for a walk right at this moment for my daily cardio exercise.
What am I doing? Blogging while watching TV.
Well, I'm kinda sleepy too, maybe because I'm just damn tired from work.
Hmmm, I can smell my dad's cooking here in my room. Smells like we're having Arrozcaldo tonight. Yummy... one of my fave food.
Gotta take a nap first. Hay, tamad talaga.
